Furniture Pads are essential to preventing damage to your stuff. New pads can be very expensive to purchase outright but most of the time you can rent them from your truck rental location. A good rule of thumb is to multiply the truck size by three. If you have a 16' truck, rent 48 pads or 4 dozen. The rental truck pads are generally smaller and thinner than professional grade moving pads and you can adjust this number accordingly if you dot force yourself using the entirety of the truck space.

Stretch Wrap or Shrink Wrap and tape is necessary for your moving help team to get the furniture pads properly secured to your furniture. If you do not have any when its time to load, please inquire with the team and they will be happy to add as much as you like to the final invoice.

Ratchet straps are perhaps the best way to secure  your items in the cargo box  before you depart. Other things like rope and bungees can be used but we find that the wrong rope can stretch and tying the proper knots is not guaranteed. Ratchet straps work great with rental trucks which generally have wood slats within the cargo box to secure your load.
